The first day of the week, the Lords day! This day we Americans will preach at 4 different congregations in the area. (Rick –Adaam COC, David – Kade COC, Bill – Isaam COC in the south, and me at the Adankrano COC.)
I was to preach at the Adankrano congregation. This is one of the congregations that Ted helped establish in the 1990’s. They all know him and have him in their prayers, as so many congregations here do. The chief of this village is a member of the church and was my guide.
I presented the bible class lesson and then the sermon. Both went very well and 4 members responded to the invitation asking for prayers.
After services the chief, Kamen Kuma, invited me to his home for a coke and a slideshow of his visit to the US with Ted. I got to see pictures of home. Yeah! Even better, the chief is a cocoa farmer and he had the beans lying out to dry. Chocolate, baby!
Rick had a good morning and so did David. David spoke at Kade and there were 2 baptisms!
This afternoon we visited the home of Kade’s preacher. He is quite proud of it and is adding on. We met his wife and family who were involved in making fu – fu.
This evening we all preached at separate congregations. We all had good reports as our lessons were well received.
